The Clark County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (CC-ASAP) was created as a result of action taken by the 2000 Kentucky General Assembly to promote the reduction of alcolhol, tobacco and other drug use through the implementation of comprehensive research-based strategies (KRS 12.330).

| | "Sticker Shock" Youth Activity - May 24, 2008 - Winchester Police Dept.- 8:00 AM | The Clark Co. Alcohol Coaltion and ASAP Board are sponsoring and coordinating a MADD (Mother's Against Drunk Driving) youth activity called "Sticker Shock."
The youth participating in this activity will be accompanied by a uniformed officer from the Clark County Sheriff's Dept. or Winchester Police Dept. They will enter local liquor and convenience stores and place a large yellow sticker on cases of alcoholic beverages.
The sticker states, "Unlawful Transaction with a Minor/Providing Alcohol to a Minor - Class A Misdemeanor - 90 Days up to 1 Year in Jail up to a $500 fine - MADD Activism/Victim Services/Education - Funded by the OJJDP through the KY State Police Governor's Highway Safety Program."
We will be coordinating this activity with local youth throughout the year - Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day.

| | Summer Slam - July 5, 2008 - George Rogers Clark High School - 12 PM | Summer Slam 2008 will be bigger and better than ever!
This all-day event, sponsored and coordinated by Winchester/Clark County Christians United Against Drugs, is designed to bring awareness of the dangers of tobacco, alcohol, and drug use and abuse to the members of our community.
Tickets:
$10 each, prior to the event
$12 each, the day of the event

12:00 PM - Drug Walk (Sponsored by WCCCUAD and its members to raise funds for drug
abuse awareness.)
2:00 PM - BMX and Skateboard show in GRC parking lot
3:45 PM - Crossover Concert (Crossover, out of Indiana, and their lead singer, Bill
Ballenger, is back by popular demand. Last year they put on an incredible
opening show and Bill shared his own experiences with drugs, prison, and
rehabilitation with our audience and moved many to tears.)
5:30 PM - Doors open for evening concert
6:00 PM - Hawk Nelson's "Green T Tour" Concert, with opening act Run Kid Run
